Educational Programs

We bring the exciting world of raptors right into your school.  Our interactive presentations provide a unique learning experience for students of all ages while offering a practical alternative to expensive field trips.  Programs revolve around a display of live birds of prey and cover a wide range of topics including ecology, the differences between hawks and owls, historical relationships of raptors with humans, effects of pesticides on raptor populations, owl pellets, and conservation.  Hawks, Owls & Wildlife offers the highest quality programs in the Northeast at very affordable rates.  Each program is tailored to the age and size of the audience we are working with and runs about 50 minutes in length.

All programs are presented by Mike Gaylo, biologist, teacher, and owner of Hawks, Owls & Wildlife.  Mike has been teaching in the field of environmental education and biology for over 40 years.  He has served on the board of the Eastern NY Chapter of the Nature Conservancy and is a member of various scientific and conservation organizations including the Raptor Research Foundation.
